We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead equipment design initiatives for our organization. The ideal candidate will have 7-8 years of experience in designing mechanical equipment, systems, and components for various industries (e.g., oil & gas, power, chemical, pharmaceutical). The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and development, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Misiones
1. Lead mechanical equipment design projects from concept to completion.
2.Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, calculations, and documentation.
3. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and other simulations.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, controls, manufacturing) to ensure design integrity.
5. Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, IEEE), regulatory requirements, and company policies.
6. Conduct site visits, inspections, and testing as required.
7. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
8. Develop and implement design standards, best practices, and process improvements.
9. Manage vendor relationships and oversee fabrication/procurement.
10. Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Perfil
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
2. 7-8 years of experience in mechanical equipment design.
3. Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, etc.).
4. Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and thermodynamics.
5. Experience with FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Open FOAM, etc.).
6. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
2. Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
3. Knowledge of piping, tubing, and pressure vessel design.
4. Familiarity with 3D printing/additive manufacturing.
5. Six Sigma or Lean certification.
